Whiskered White -

A personal and poetic journey

by Daniel M Turner

Publication Date: Saturday 14 May 2022

This is the author’s fifth published book, each of which features the River Tyne and the coastline of this region. It is his second published poetry collection.

The majority of the author’s poems were written during late March 2020 to December 2021. This was an important time of the coronavirus pandemic with its lockdowns and restrictions, but also allowed time for reflection and caused
concern in the author’s life by prompting additional isolation and solitude. The virus itself features very little in these pages, which try to focus thoughts on more uplifting themes.

The poems fit around eleven different themes some of which interleave to concentrate our minds on considerations of hope, nature, Tyneside (Northeast England), generations and the author’s own stories, struggles and experience.
To witness nature is known to help with our mental wellbeing – and is recommended for all, along with times of silence and reflection.
